Envirosax bags were the first of their kind and are still the best due to the quality and strength of the bag, the range of designs and the company's commitment to the environment. They have been tested to ensure they do not pass toxic heavy metals into the food they are carrying and are printed using vegetable and soy based dyes, which are environmentally friendly. They can last up to 5 years or more and can be washed just like any other fabric.

The real solution to the plastic problem is to take a step back from the recycling issue and design a product that will be re-usable and will avoid the whole problem of recycling and its associated ecological costs. That is the fundamental design choice of the Mikado Tint Bag. Its compact design means that they are easier to keep in your purse and thus are more likely to be reused, which is the whole point of avoiding the usage of plastic bags.

Founded by Belinda and Mark David-Tooze in 2004, Envirosax originated from Currumbin Valley in South East Queensland, Australia. Situated on 10 acres of pristine Australian rain forest, Belinda, Mark and their three young children live an ecologically sustainable lifestyle with solar hot water and photovoltaic cells for electricity.

I always keep one of these bags in my purse & a couple in the car. It comes in handy when I go out shopping unprepared or when there are way too many things to carry (it is very durable and can hold a lot of weight). Since it is waterproof it comes in handy if it starts to pour and you want to keep your expensive handbag dry. It makes for a stylish & chic solution to transporting wet bathing suits from the beach.
Trust me, you'll find uses for it when you have one all the time.

I've been using Envirosax bags for over a year now & this is my favorite among all. I really don't like to carry bright colored bags and this one has a nice design and color scheme. The best thing about these bags is their durability. They're really strong and last a long time but you'd wanna buy another one after some time :)

A very nifty solution to the problem of forgetting to take those bulky canvas bags with me. The size when folded is what sold me to this idea. I just keep one or two in my handbag at all times so that I can say no to the plastic at the store and just tote everything home in my own weightless little bag. They are also great for everything else, like hauling misc things to and from the car, throwing wet towels/bathing suits in after a trip to the gym or spa, etc etc.
